Yes, synthetic turf is a method of landscaping that is approved by all village ordinances. It is also considered a “green” product that can help reduce air pollution and save fresh water. It also allows you to save money and eliminates time otherwise spent on lawncare and maintenance.

Please note that PetGrass is a premium turf, and for a large yard with only one or two dogs, PetGrass Eco may be a more budget-friendly alternative. Contact us so we can discuss your individual needs.

We recommend using a landscaper or synthetic turf installer, but many homeowners do complete installations themselves. Perfect Turf can be laid over any porous surface that will allow for drainage. We recommend 2″-4″ of crushed stone for drainage. If necessary, Perfect Turf can be installed over a dirt and weed barrier, but please be aware of the downsides of doing it this way. Perfect Turf® needs very little maintenance. In the fall, sweep or use a bamboo, nylon or plastic rake or blower to clean up leaves. We don’t recommend using a rake with metal tines. To remove animal feces, gently scoop it up and on the rare occasion it leaves a mess, rinse the area with a garden hose. Please visit the Resources Tab for detailed maintenance information.

If you are looking for synthetic turf that feels like real grass, ask about our new Natural Series. The turf is full, smooth and authentic in appearance. No synthetic turf will feel exactly like real grass, but we work hard to make it pretty darn close!

Perfect Turf® is made to withstand all of the elements. The turf typically drains at 30-40 gallons per minute, per square yard. Order samples of the products that interest you directly from our site and put them to the test! Perfect Turf® is tough!

Research on the safety of synthetic turf is overwhelmingly positive. The University of Pennsylvania produced empirical research dispelling the myth that synthetic turf harbors bacteria. There are no hazardous toxins, chemicals or recycled tire rubber in our products. Animals will not eat the turf and bugs will not live in it.

Synthetic grass is an environmentally-friendly surface that helps save the environment by minimizing the use and pollution of fresh water. It also eliminates the need to chemically treat lawns or produce additional greenhouse gases from landscaping equipment or tools.

The only concern might be the warmth of the surface on a hot sunny day. However, that can be easily remedied with a quick hose misting or by purchasing heat-resistant turf products.

Yes! PetGrass is designed and installed to withstand a high volume of dogs and rough play 24/7. The product is anchored around the perimeter and the interior by screws, or installed and secured as our state-of-the-art PetGrass® POD® System. Our PetGrass products are used in dog facilities and parks from Canada to Florida, serving dogs big and small, both indoors and out.

PetGrass is extremely durable and most dogs will give up after an unsuccessful dig. Another solution would be to place patio bricks or a similar item on top of the turf in those problem areas, to act as an additional deterrent.

Extremely realistic. Perfect Turf® putting greens can be made to mimic a specific speed, or putt faster or slower. Perfect Turf® putting greens can be designed to hold a shot from 50 yards or 150 yards – whatever your needs, we can design and build a Perfect Turf® putting green to match it.

Nylon putting greens will roll at about a 10 on the stimpmeter and will stay at that speed throughout its useful life. Polypropylene putting greens can be designed to meet preferred speeds, ranging from 8 to 12 on the stimpmeter.
